The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill was brought to Parliament on 11 September 2026.
By a narrow margin it did not pass, with 286 MPs voting against and 270 voting for.
I voted against. While I continue to support the principle of assisted dying, this Bill lacked the strong safeguards needed to work safely in practice.
